After all, we are in the "Bairro da Música", the birthplace or childhood home of so many national musicians – Benfica!
According to history, the origins of the hamburger are uncertain and permeated by myths and stories, but it is very likely that it was first prepared in the way we know it today in the late 19th century or early 20th century.
At Pica na Praça, there are no uncertainties or myths. Our burger is made from the best cuts on the menu, such as the Maminha and the Alcatra, with the Acém added to give it that extra juiciness. Everything is made by hand, without “dyes or preservatives”, straight from the grill to the bun so that you can enjoy this famous delicacy in the best possible way.

Our steaks come from animals born and raised in Portugal, in a natural and sustainable way, which arrive to us daily and are vacuum-packed to guarantee the best quality.

French fries is a term that refers to a processed food, a product of the culinary preparation of potatoes previously cut into: strips, very thin sticks (straw potatoes), slices or sheets, and which are subsequently fried.
There is still debate about the true origin of French fries. The main debate is between Belgium, France and Spain… But why the debate? You’re in the right place. At Pica na Praça, our potatoes, after being carefully selected at the source, are cut, gently blanched and then fried in 100% vegetable oils, selected and checked daily, guaranteeing an extra crispy coating. And there are not only the traditional “sticks”. You have the Sweets, the Dippers, and the Waves with Pepper.
